Geraldine Miller

Geraldine Felton Miller 94, of The Quadrangle in Haverford, formerly of Bala Cynwyd, died on April 30th 2012. She was the wife of 60 years of the late Walter Randolph Miller. Born in Johnstown Pa, her family moved to Evansburg where she and 3 brothers attended Ursinus College. She earned a BA degree in languages; she also earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Philadelphia Conservatory of Music. She taught at the Lancaster Conservatory of Music for 3 years and at her home in Bala Cynwyd for 35 years. Her students won many coveted first prizes at the Tri County Youth Festival. She is past President of Philadelphia Music Teachers Association. Geraldine was a performing member of The Music Study Club of Bryn Mawr and of the Musical Coterie of Wayne where she also chaired The Junior Coterie for 18 years. She was elected to the International Who's Who of Music & Musicians. She is survived by her daughter, Diane M. Jackson (Andrew), and granddaughter Jennie Jackson Stubanas. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to be held on Friday, May 4th, 2012, at 11:00am, at Proclamation Presbyterian Church (278 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA. 19010). In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to Penn Wissahickon Hospice (150 Monument Road, Suite 300, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004) or to The Proclamation Presbyterian Church.
