Mary Jane Ryan (nee Connor), age 76, formerly of Wayne, Pa. and Stone Harbor, N.J. went home to God on July 27, 2010. She was surrounded by her family after a long battle with Parkinson's disease at St. Martha Manor in Downingtown, Pa. She was preceded in death twenty years earlier by the love of her life, Matthew J. Ryan, III. She was the dear mother of Clare (Ted) Wydeven and Carol (John) Livingood. She was the proud grandmother of five granddaughters, Grace, Emma and Lucy Wydeven and Nora and Mary Livingood. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Ann Eissler and Sister Francis Chiara, O.M.E.C. and her brother William H. Connor, Jr. |
Mary Jane was a graduate of West Catholic High School for Girls and Gwynedd Mercy College. She was an active member of St. Katharine of Siena parish in Wayne. She enjoyed summers in Stone Harbor, tennis, swimming, ceramics, reading and needlepoint. She loved spending time with her family and keeping in touch with life long friends. Mary Jane was blessed with an Irish sense of humor and the gift to make new friends easily.
Relatives and friends are invited to her Memorial Mass on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10 a.m. at the Church of St. Katharine of Siena in Wayne, Pa., where family will greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. in church. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mary Jane Ryan can be made to St. Martha Manor, 470 Manor Avenue, Downingtown, PA 19335.
