Stephen Luce Obituary
Dr. Stephen Clark Luce, Age 60, of Berwyn, died on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Loving husband of Claire (nee Wesley) and proud Father of Megan, Kirsten, and Emily. Son of Margaret and the Late Charles Luce. Brother of Sara Jamison and Charles Luce. Stephen was a graduate of Shawinigan Lake H.S. in Vancouver, British Columbia; he then went on to earn his Bachelor Degree at Marietta College in Ohio, Masters at the University of Georgia, and a Doctorate at the University of Kansas. Stephen dedicated his life's work to children and adults with development disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. He was well known amongst the Autism community and authored several books and publications on the subject. In his personal life, Stephen loved being on the water. He was an accomplished rower who completed both nationally and internationally, and was a proud member of the Fairmount Rowing Assn. Located on the Schuylkill River. Some of Stephen's best memories were created sailing and boating with his family and friends. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Devon, Pa. Int. Private.
