Anna M Muller, of Belmont Hills, Teacher and Volunteer|
90 of Rosemont Presbyterian Village passed away Saturday June 7 after a short stay at Broomall Presbyterian Village.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Philip and M. Emma (Latch) Muller and sister of the late Philip Muller of Huntsville AL. Anna lived most of her life in Belmont Hills. She graduated from Lower Merion High School in 1941, Penn State University and received her Master of Science from Drexel. Anna taught Home Economics at the Haverford Junior High for 28 years.
When she was out of class for the summer, Anna traveled all over the world – throughout the continental US, Alaska, Hawaii, Japan, Singapore, Bali, Hong Kong, Australia, New Zealand and most of Europe and the Middle East.
Anna was an avid knitter making sweaters, rugs and wall hangings and enjoyed her weekly pinochle games. Anna's love of reading led her onto the Belmont Hills Library Board where she served in several capacities for over 20 years including Treasurer. Anna was a lifelong member of the Narberth Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by niece Gail Latch and her son Dylan Smith of Collegeville PA, niece Susan Muller Esneault of Huntsville AL, her husband Rick and their children Ricky and Alexis and niece Lisa Muller of Maryville TN and her daughter Jessica White Phillips of Knoxville TN as well as her sister-in-law Lieselotte Muller of Maryville TN
Private interment was held at St. Paul's Cemetery in Wynnewood. A memorial service will be held Wednesday 6/25 at 3pm at Rosemont Presbyterian Village (404 Cheswick Place, Rosemont 19010) in the auditorium.
