Fred L. Kirk

1924 - 2014 MANCHESTER Fred L. Kirk died on Feb. 24, 2014, at Equinox Terrace. He was born Jan. 29, 1924, in New York City, the son of Fred A. and Vera Kirk. He graduated from All Hollows High School and attended Holy Cross College. Fred served in the Navy as an aviator pilot during World War II, and the Korean War. Along with his father, he owned the Manchester Cafe and later, the Brokers Restaurant in New York City. He retired from the Cafe at Lincoln Square in 1989. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Foley and her husband, James, of Manchester, and his grandchildren, Caitlin Foley and Kevin Kirk. He was predeceased by his wife, Anne, and son, Ricky. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, in Manchester. A reception will follow.
