Our beloved Stacey, age 53, lost her two year struggle with pancreatic cancer on Jan. 17, 2014. She was a strong, beautiful person who loved and had much more to give. She faced her illness with typcal courage and resolve. She is survived by her longtime partner, Jack LaBay of Lake Worth, Fla.; mother and stepfather, Lois and Larry White of Grantham, N.H.; father and stepmother, Fred Dieffenbach and Elizabeth Olson of Dorset, Vt.; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Felicia Dieffenbach and nieces, Mikayla and Anna of Bethel, Vt. Upon graduation from Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y., she returned to Vermont before moving to Florida in 1982. Stacey loved her home, garden and sharing fun times with friends and family. She was an avid reader and doll collector. and had a special place in her heart for cats, often rescuing them and caring fof strays. Survivors are grateful for the care, love and support given by Dr. Thomas Neiderman, medical personnel, Hospice, friends, family and patrons of Atlantic Grill and Bar. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard but always near, still loved, still missed and forever dear." Memorial donations may be made to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, (1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266-3721) or Hospice of Palm Beach County (5300 East Ave; West Palm Beach, FL 33407). Final resting place will be in Dorset, VT. Arrangements are by the All County Funeral Home, Lake Worth, FL.
