1930-2013 WINHALL David Abolafia, 83, passed away unexpectedly at his home November 2, 2013. David was born in New York City on August 8, 1930 the son of Morris and Rachel Abolafia. He received his education in the Bronx, New York. David was an entrepreneur, worked early in the family business and became sole owner and operator of hot dog stands at several railroad stations in New York. In his earlier years, David was an avid boater, tennis player and skier. He was a member of a close group of elementary school friends known as the Wildcats, loved gardening and cherished time spent with his family. David is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joan, whom he married in 1952. He is also survived by son, Morris Abolafia; daughters, Vicki Fabricant, Rachelle Stanley and her husband Stuart; brother, Victor Abolafia; sister, Dorothy Hoffman; and grandchildren, David, Jacob, Jenny, Stephanie, Corinne and Jane.
