1917-2013 MANCHESTER CENTER, VT Edward Hoeffner, 95 a resident of Barnumville Road died Friday march 15, 2013 at the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center in Bennington.
Mr. Hoeffner was born in Patterson, N.J. on April 19, 1917. He graduated from Jersey City State Teachers College with a BS and studied for his doctorate at Columbia University. He been an educator for 10 years in Englewood, N.J. and for several years office manager at Washburn and Granger in Patterson from which he retired.
A World War II veteran, he had served with the Army Air Corps. He was a former member of the Lions Club and American Legion.
Following the passing of his wife, Vivian (Fornabi) Hoeffner, he reconnected with an old college friend, Jean Noble with whom he spent his last remaining years with.
He leaves his significant other , Jean Noble, of Manchester Center; son, Edward Hoeffner of Mineapolis; Jean's daughter, Denise Ann Noble and husband Chris, and her children, Geneve, Vaughan and Hunter, all of Richmond.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 19 at 10 a.m. at BREWSTER-SHEA FUNERAL HOME with Reverend John Mitchell Rector of Zion Episcopal Church officiating.
