1954-2013 RUPERT, VT Michelle J. Armstrong, 58, of Rupert, VT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, June 11, 2013 in the comfort of her home with her family by her side.
Born October 25, 1954 in Bennington, VT, she is the daughter of the late Earl and Charlotte (Reynolds) Jaquith. Michelle was a 1972 graduate of Mt. Anthony High School in Bennington and had worked for the Mettowee Nursery in Dorset for many years. She also sewed and cleaned homes for many local families in the area.
Michelle was a Girl Scout and 4-H Leader and was active in the PTO at the Rupert and Danby schools.
Sewing was her favorite pastime, but she also enjoyed drawing, painting portraits and gardening as well.
In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her daughter, Felicia Ellen Armstrong; an infant granddaughter, Rea Ann Armstrong and a brother, Ray Jaquith.
Michelle is survived by her husband of 39 years, Douglas E. Armstrong whom she married December 8, 1973; two sons, Anthony D. Armstrong and his companion, Jen Hernandez of Saratoga, NY and Charles W. Armstrong and his wife Rachael of West Hebron, NY. She is also survived by her three sisters, Charlotte "Vickie" Cutler and her husband Robert of Bennington, Adelaide Jaquith of Shaftsbury, VT and Craiga Jaquith of Dewey, AZ; her four grandchildren, Ida Armstrong, Karlie V. Armstrong Gates, Jacob Armstrong and Lily Armstrong.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A service to celebrate Michelle's life will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the family residence, 224 Youlin Road, Rupert.
