Donna D. "Peg" Wisler
SHELBY: Donna D. "Peg" Wisler, age 93, resident of Shelby died Sunday, October 27, 2013 in MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital.
Born October 15, 1920 in Bucyrus to Emmitt and Clara L. (Beach) Dudley she was raised in Tiro and had been a Shelby resident since 1946. She was a 1938 graduate of Tiro High School, where she was an active participent in school athletics.
Peg along with her husband Ray, owned and operated Wisler Rug and Carpet in Shelby from 1954 to 1984.
She was a member of Auburn School PTA and had served as a Girl Scout Leader. Peg enjoyed reading, gardening, baking and was still knitting up until her recent hospitalization.
Survivors include two daughters, Jayne Wisler and Weslie Studer Clabaugh, both of Shelby; four grandchildren, Tammy Morrison of Gahanna, Becky (Bob) Deane of Shelby, Kim (Kevin) Payne of Ontario and Jarrod Clabaugh of Columbus; six great grandchildren, Russell and Madison Morrison, Madelyn and Nolan Payne, Kelsey and Alyssa Deane; one sister, Mary Lou Kaffer of Drytown, CA; nieces, nephews and other realtives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ray Wisler on January 19, 1989; one grandson, Daniel Studer; one son-in-law, Don Studer; grandson-in-law, Russell Morrison; two brothers, John and Donald Dudley; and one sister, Jayne Mann.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday November 1, 2013 at the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Father James Sanford will officiate with interment in Most Pure Heart of Mary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home Friday from 12:00PM to 2:00PM. Memorial expressions may be made to Med Central Hospice, 335 Glessner Ave., Mansfield, Ohio 44903.
