Jordan, William  
William "Dick" R. Jordan ONTARIO: William "Dick" R. Jordan, 82, of Ontario died Friday, August 21, 2015 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield. Born April 13, 1933 in Mansfield, he was the son of Earl and Blanche (Thomas) Jordan. Dick graduated from Mansfield Senior High School in 1951 and went on to serve in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War where he served for 14 months. He worked at Mansfield Tire as a machinist and retired from Shiloh Corp. where he worked in tool and die. Dick was a member of the VFW and the Moose. An avid Ohio State University fan, he loved being outdoors whether it was boating, motorcycling, gardening, or tending to his flowers. In his younger years, Dick enjoyed flying his R/C planes and also won the Soap Box Derby. A loyal and generous man, he loved his family dearly. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Margaret (Minniear) Jordan of Ontario; children, Teresa (Ray) Ingebrand and Dianne (Guy Hoffman) Gerhart, both of Mansfield, Dian (Terry) Adkins of Shelby, Jeff (Karie) Reed of Avon Lake, Carol (Greg King) Beverly of Ashland, Rick Reed of Cleveland, Curtis (Sue) Reed of Mansfield, Lisa (Chris) Lacy of Avon Lake, and Kim (John) Bansley of Chicago, IL; 26 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; sister, Norma Jean Douville of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Nancy Jordan of Mansfield; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Rick Jordan; sister, Dottie Algire; brother, Earl Jordan, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Leroy Douville. A special thank you to all the wonderful neighbors and church friends who helped out so much over the years. Friends may call Monday, August 24, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. An additional hour of calling with be held prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Military graveside services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
