Smith, Orlo Hill  
Orlo Hill Smith SALEM: Orlo Hill Smith, age 82, passed away in Salem, Ohio on May 31, 2015. He was born on August 22, 1932 in Warren, Ohio to Orlo and Bessie Smith. He graduated from Mansfield Senior High in 1950. He received a Bachelor's Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Orlo served in the U.S. Air Force and gained the rank of Second Lieutenant. He then retired after 48 years of working as a Pension Sales Consultant with Equitable Life Assurance Society and a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable. He was a member of Zion United Church of Christ, Indian Guides, Cub Scouts, and Holly Hills Girl's Softball. He is preceded in death by his parents Bessie, Orlo, and Miriam. Surviving him is his wife, Barbara Miller Smith; children, Valerie (Douglas) Bowen of Johnston, IA, Andrea (Tom Edinger) Smith of Allentown, PA, Scott Smith of Los Angeles, CA, Allison (Glen) Stewart of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Joshua and Kelsey Bowen, and Brianna and Hunter Stewart; sister, Diana Hammer; nephew Mike Hammer and niece, Carol (Brian) Houseworth: uncles Charles and Phillip Gehm. The service was June 5, 2015 at the Karlo-Libby Funeral Home in Canton, OH.

Tidwell, Weldon  
Weldon E. Tidwell MANSFIELD: Weldon E. Tidwell, 91, of Mansfield, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 following a brief illness. Weldon was born on January 13, 1924 in DeKalb, TX, to Frank J. and Clara (Feazell) Tidwell. He retired from GM in 1982, after 28 years of employment, and had been hired there shortly after GM had opened. He loved being around his family and spending time with them. Weldon enjoyed traveling, woodworking and country music. He is survived by his wife, Jewell F. (Duncan) Tidwell; two children, Jeff Tidwell of Perrysville, and Deborah Schoonover of Mansfield; three step-children, Wayne (Debra) Littleton and Loretta Littleton both of Mansfield, and Cindy (Paul) Waggoner of Shelby; four grandchildren, Larry Schoonover, James Schoonover, Carrie Doerrer, and Michael Schoonover; three step-grandchildren, Tracie Littleton, Maia Brainard, and Justin Hall; ten great-grandchildren and one on the way; eight step-great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild on the way; one sister-in-law, Marie Tidwell of TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. Weldon was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Betty Tidwell; his second wife, Jean Tidwell; his third wife, Frances Tidwell; his son-in-law, Larry Schoonover; one step-grandson, Brandon Hall; and numerous siblings. Truax, Frances  
Frances R. Truax BELLVILLE: Frances R. Truax, 76, lifelong resident of Bellville, Ohio died peacefully at Riverside Methodist Hospital on June 28, 2015 after a brief illness. Fran was born in Mansfield, Ohio January 17, 1939, the daughter of the late Placido and Helen Gonzalez. She will be remembered most for her dedication to her family and loyalty to her friends. She was entirely unselfish and devoted herself to lending a helping hand, the comfort of a home and always a wonderful meal, advice, laughter and inspiration. She was Vice President of R. J. Gandee Hearing Aid Company serving for over 30 years as a Hearing Aid Specialist. Fran had worked in the hearing industry for over 57 years and received many awards such as trips abroad in recognition of her tremendous knowledge in her field. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, The Sons of Italy, and the Ohio Hearing Healthcare Alliance. She was an excellent golfer having played at Twin Lakes Golf Course where she once captured the A flight title in the league championship. She was a graduate of Bellville High school having participated in Basketball, Chorus, F.H.A., Girls' Glee Club , the Bell Hi Annual Staff and the "Chatter" newspaper staff. She coached the Clear Fork Girls Softball Team; and The Clear Fork Flag squad. She was a former member of the Clear Fork Athletic Boosters Club. She was an avid sports fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Cavaliers, Browns and Indians. She was a former member of Twin Lakes Golf Course. She was the proud mother of Charles P. (Christi) Truax, Michael A. Truax, and Elizabeth E. (Ryan Lambert) Salas; grandmother of Mathew (Sasha) Truax, Tyler (Trinity) Clow, Kelsie Clow, Kayge, Kaitlyn, Korianne, and Michael Truax, Taylor, Gabriella and Macie Salas and TIffany Lambert; great-grandmother to Gavin, Lilly and Addy Truax , Cruz Burris and Carter Clow; and sister to Carl (Judy) Gonzalez and Mari Ann (Dan) Hoover, both of Bellville. She had 13 nieces and nephews, 12 great nieces and nephews, one great great nephew, and many special cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald J. Gonzalez; and sister, Rosalie M. Murch. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 2, 2015 from 5-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Road, Ontario. A mass of christian burial will be held Friday, July 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 104 West 1st Street, Mansfield, conducted by Father Jeremy Miller. Walker, Karen  
Karen Walker CRESTLINE: Karen A. Walker, 51, of Crestline, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at her residence after a long battle with cancer and diabetes. Karen was born in Crestline on January 7, 1964 to the late Karie and Barbara (James) Walker Sr. She is survived by her step mother, Bettie R. (Pace) Walker and her mother-in-law Frankie Mae Brown both of Mansfield. Karen was a member of the First Baptist Church, Crestline. She volunteered at the Crestline Assistance Ministry Program (C.A.M.P.) office on a daily basis. She also volunteered with Relay for Life since she was 36 years old. Karen lived for her children and grandchildren. She loved to travel and play bingo. In addition to her step mother and mother-in-law, she is survived by her daughter, Benetia Walker and Larry Furguson, Louisville, KY, her son, Charles Brown and Laura Lawhun, Crestline; three grandchildren, Za'Kiya Sizemore, Zayr'Eon Ferguson, Jaleesa Brown; her brothers and sisters, Karie Walker Jr., Crestline, Carrie Bledsoe, Columbus, Jackie Harris, Louisville, KY, Kevin Keith, Crestline, Benita Melton, Sonja McCrary, Regina McCrary, Darrell Bledsoe, all of Mansfield, Nichole Johnson and John Walker, both of Louisville, KY; nieces, nephews, a host of cousins; and a special friend, James Bassett. Friends may call Wednesday, July 1, 2015 from 6-8PM at the First Baptist Church, 212 E. Livingston Ave, Crestline. Walter, Shirleen  
Shirleen Walter MANSFIELD: Shirleen Walter, age 83, of Mansfield, died Monday, June 29, 2015 in the Crestwood Care Center in Shelby. She was born Jan. 8, 1932 in Cardington to the late Orville D. and Aldene ( Taber ) Philbrook. Shirleen was a 1950 graduate of Cardington-Lincoln High School and was a lifelong homemaker. She had worked as a telephone operator in Mt. Gilead and then at Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Chicago. She and Clarence were foster parents, welcoming fourteen children into their home through the years. Shirleen also had volunteered for the Meals on Wheels. On September 16, 1956 in Cardington, Shirleen married Clarence E. Walter and he survives. She is also survived by her children; Kit Walter of Galion, Tab (Sara ) Walter of Murphy, TX, and Marvin "Marty" Walter of San Diego, CA; four grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Shirleen was preceded in death by her three brothers, Duane, Bill and Eugene Philbrook. Friends may call on Sunday, July 5, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Gompf Funeral Home in Cardington where the funeral service will take place on Monday, July 6, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Pastor Paul Walter of Galion Grace Point Church will officiate and the burial will follow in the Glendale Cemetery. Webb, Myron Parnell  
Myron Parnell Webb, 38, unexpectedly passed this life on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Ohio Health MedCentral Hospital. Mr. Webb was born on Wednesday, November 10, 1976 to Robert and Lillian (Brooks) Webb in Mansfield and had been a lifetime resident in the community. He was a member of the Mansfield Senior High graduating Class of 1995, had attended Akron University for two years majoring in Business Administration, and was currently attending Beyond Expectations Barber School anticipating a graduation in January, 2016. Myron was a Franchise Owner of Coverall L & M Cleaning Service administering quality commercial cleaning. He loved watching sportsl with his favorite basketball team being the Cleveland Cavaliers and favorite football team the Seattle Seahawks. Myron was a Basketball Coach for our annual Brooks- Holmes Memorial Basketball Tournament in Mansfield. Myron leaves to cherish his memory his parents Robert and Lillian Webb his fiancé Shamille Chapman; four daughters Tamaree Page, Asmani Webb and Saniyah Webb, all of Mansfield, Myiah Webb, Akron; two sons Tyrell Edmiston, Plymouth and Aaron Rambo, Mansfield; a step-son Montay Owens Jr., Mansfield; a sister Christshanda Webb, Mansfield; two brothers Andre (Tanya) Brooks, Mansfield and Robert (Darlene) Webb III, San Francisco, California; grandparents Ollie Brooks, Mansfield and Robert (Ruth) Webb Sr., Cleveland, Ohio; god daughter Amya Harris and god son K'Shawn Ross both of Mansfield; Special Friends Terry Feagin, Lyna Brooks, Eric Petty and Douglas Lindsey Jr. including a Very Special Friend Elder Mark Cobb; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Willie Carpenter and Edward Brooks Sr. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 at Shiloh Baptist Church with Elder Mark Cobb officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral services at the church. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery. The family will also receive friends at the home of his grandmother, Ollie Brooks, of 625 Lida Street from 4-7 pm until the day of the services.
