Albert L. Hurrell, Sr.

MANSFIELD: Albert L. Hurrell, Sr., 78, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at his home. Born March 19, 1934 in Cardington, he was the son of Russell and Ella (Northrup) Hurrell. Albert was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Marines and worked at AK Steel for 41 years as a pipe fitter. He was a member of 40 et 8, American Legion #535, Masonic Lodge #115 of Loudonville and Scottish Rite of Canton, Eagles, Owls, Moose, Amvets, and Sons of Herman. He loved cooking and listening to old country music.

He is survived by his children, Edward (Kathy) Hurrell of Bellville, Diantha (Russell) Snavely of Plain City, Kelly (Rob) Wilfong of Mansfield, Albert (Pam) Hurrell, Jr. of Memphis, TN, and Tammy (Carl) Hurrell of Mansfield; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother, Jim (Thelma) Rice of Mansfield; and sisters, Jane (Gerald) Heflen of Mansfield, Hazel Ute of Lexington, and Mary (Bobby) Fankhouser of Perrysville. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie and brothers, Walter and Russell.
