Anne B. Stacco

MANSFIELD: Anne B. Stacco, 91, of Mansfield passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at Primrose, where she had made her home for the past six years.

Anne was born in Mansfield on July 31, 1921 to Anton and Elizabeth Erre Moritz. She was a member of St. Mary of the Snows Church. Anne was a graduate of St. Peter's High School and also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, Naval Intelligence during World War II. On December 11, 1947 she married Edward Stacco, who preceded her in death in 2007.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Daniel (Sue) Stacco and Larry (Deb) Stacco, all of Mansfield; two daughters-in-law, Mary Ann Konstam of Mansfield and Marsha Bauer Stacco of Oldsmar, FL; a sister Betty (Lloyd) McKinney of Shiloh; five granddaughters: Laura Fannin, Heather Stacco, Stacy (Brian) Walters, Amanda Stacco and Jennifer (Chris) Sloey; four great-grandchildren: Nathan Fannin, Stephen Fannin, Adrianna Stacco and Avery Walters.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas Stacco and Edward A. Stacco Jr and a sister, Caroline Beilstein.

Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Ave. West, on Wednesday from 5pm to 8pm with a vigil prayer service at 5pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30am Thursday at St. Mary of the Snows Cathoic Church with Rev. Nelson Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Church or Hospice of North Central Ohio.
