Anthony "Tony" John Pitroff, Jr.

MANSFIELD: Anthony "Tony" John Pitroff, Jr., 85, of Mansfield passed away March 18, 2014 at MedCentral Health System.

Tony was born November 11, 1928 in Titusville, Pennsylvania to Anthony and Lulu Pitroff. He served in the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Tony was a member of the Knights of Columbus, and was very involved in many activities with St. Peter's Catholic Church. Tony loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed watching the Browns and Indians.

He is survived by children Michael (Sherry) Pitroff of Westerville, Bobbie (Greg) Long of Cincinnati, Ron (Michelle Pate) of Mansfield, Dave (Cathy) Pitroff of Dublin; grandchildren Christie Bogan, Brent Long, Briana, Erika, Trevin, Joshua, David II, Daniel, Luke and Taylor Pitroff; six great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Jean Pitroff; cousin, Betty Douchette; niece Katie.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Delores; and brother Robert Pitroff.

Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, on Friday from 4-7pm with a vigil service at 4pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00am Saturday with Fr. Jeremy Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery with military services provided by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail..

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Msgr. Edward C. Dunn Foundation for Education.
