Ethel "Betty" Shepherd
SHILOH: Ethel B. "Betty" Shepherd, age 70, resident of Shiloh died Friday, February 15, 2013 in Kindred Hospital, Mansfield.
Born November 7, 1942 in Salyersville, KY to Lacy and Dora Barnett she had been a Greenwich/Shiloh area resident the majority of her life. A homemaker, she was a member of the Faith Builders Church of God in Willard. Betty enjoyed camping, fishing, canoeing, gardening and canning.
Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Tony Shepherd of Shiloh; her children, Roy (Angie) Shepherd of Tiro, Troy (Jeanette) Shepherd of Norwalk, Dora (Fred) Snipes of Shiloh, Brian (Robin) Shepherd of Willard, and Deborah (Steve) Moore of Plymouth; 19 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; eight brothers, Oscar, Bobby, Willis, Ellis, Monroe, Wayne, Leonard, and Billy Barnett; five sisters, Bethel Robinette, Wanda Cook, Barbara Hale, Maxine Barnett, and Pearl Tuttle; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons, Adam and Paul Shepherd, grandson, Daniel Wireman, great granddaughter, Sophia Wireman, sister, Bonnie Hale and daughter-in-law, Cathy Shepherd.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Faith Builders Church of God in Willard. Rev. Fred A. Rowe will officiate with interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Shiloh. Friends may call at the church after 2:00PM on Sunday and Monday where evening services will be held each night at 6PM. Barkdull Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
