LEXINGTON: Bill Bago, 80, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following a brief illness.
Bill was born on April 22, 1932, in Logan, WV to Nelson and Ethel Porter Bago. He proudly served his country in the United States Army
during the Korean Conflict
. He had worked at U-Brand Foundry in Ashland. Bill enjoyed reading, NASCAR, fishing and was known as a jack of all trades. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sherry Bago; five children, Billie Crawford of Mansfield, Steven (Becky) Bago of Ontario, Ricky (Christie) Bago of Fredericktown, Tobie (Stacy) Bago of Shiloh, and Mysti Bago of Lexington; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Jimmy (Dorie) Vego and Oney Goodan, all of Olive Hill, KY.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson; one great-grandson; and four siblings.
Calling hours will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, LTD., 1106 Park Avenue East (St. Rt. 430E), Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Matthew Blakely officiating. Burial will be follow at Lexington Cemetery. Military honors will be performed by Richland Co. Joint Veterans Burial Detail.
