Carl Leroy Copeland

MANSFIELD: Carl Leroy Copeland, 62, of Mansfield, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at his residence. Born February 12, 1950 in Shelby, Ohio he was the son of Russell E. and Ruth Whitney (Weaver) Copeland. Carl was a 1968 graduate of Shelby High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Gorman Rupp where he worked as a welder and was a member of the AmVets Post 26. He enjoyed reading, NASCAR, tending to his motorcycles and all types of music. Carl was a caring and helpful man and devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Joy L. (Griffin) Copeland; two daughters, Chrystal (Joel) Green and Jennifer (Paul) Grimm all of Mansfield; two sisters, Bonnie Rain of Ontario and Sharon (John) Warrick of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1745 Walker Lake Road, Mansfield conducted by Elder Ron Miller. Burial will be in Ganges Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Brookwood Way Fire Department or MedCentral Hospice.
