Edwin M. Wilson, Jr.
MANSFIELD: Edwin M. Wilson, Jr. born March 28, 1940 in Swedesboro, New Jersey passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 in his home after a long illness. Ed graduated from Penns Grove High School in New Jersey in 1958 and furthered his education at the University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette. He started his career in sales from Brown Company, later joining C.C. Lowry Company as a Manufacturer's Representative, eventually becoming a partner. He opened his own agency in the 1970s, Ed Wilson & Associates. Years later, he went to work for Bemis Manufacturing as the Eastern Regional Manager and then with Mansfield Plumbing Products, which brought him to the area. Ed finished his career as a Manufacturer's Representative with Tri-State Sales. He was an avid golfer and loved music, especially Sinatra.
Ed is survived by his wife, Irene; son, Eric of Romeoville, IL, daughter-in-law, Kathy and two grandsons, Eli and Lance; son, Joseph of Lancaster, PA; sister, Lois of Kingsport, TN; ten nieces and nephews; ten great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great niece.
Friends and family may visit from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. A Memorial Mass will be held Monday in St. Peter's Catholic Church, 104 W. First St., Mansfield, at 10:00 a.m. A reception will follow the mass in the Life Celebration Reception Center, 129 S. Main St., Mansfield. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be made to St. Peter's Catholic Church or MedCentral Rehabilitation Center.
