Elizabeth "Betty" Birosh

LEXINGTON: Elizabeth Birosh, 80, of Lexington passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 in the MedCentral Mansfield Hospital following complications from COPD.

The daughter of John and Mary (Badzick) Nestor, Betty was born March 27, 1933 in Donora, PA. During childhood, she survived the Donora Smog Disaster of 1948. On July 6, 1963 she was united in marriage with Edward Birosh.

Ed & Betty began their life together in New Jersey but in 1971 relocated the family to the Mansfield area when Ed got a job with HPM in Mount Gilead (HPM is now located in Marion).

Betty was a faithful Catholic Mass attendee on Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN). She enjoyed talking on the phone, going to Wayne's Country Market and doting on her neighbor's Scottish Terrier. As a hobby, she collected stuffed frogs.

Surviving are her two children: daughter Anastasia Birosh of Brunswick, son Greg Birosh of Lexington; and two sisters: Evelyn Stanton of Glen Gardner, NJ, and Irene Badzik of Shreveport, LA.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband Ed in 2009.
