Eric Ray Smith
ONTARIO: Eric Ray Smith, 47, of Ontario, died unexpectedly Sunday, February 10, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Born April 25, 1965 in Millersburg, Ohio, he was the son of Larry Roy and Marie Isabelle (Wilson) Smith. He was a FAA Technician at TYCO (formerly Hartman) for over 20 years and was also an independent photographer having owned his own business, Framed Photography. He attended Journey Life Center and was baptized at Holmesville Church of Christ. He enjoyed fishing, watching sports and reading but his greatest enjoyment was when he was playing with his nieces and nephews and his dog, Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, Vickie (Gilliam) Smith; a daughter, Anna Smith of Ontario; his parents, Larry and Marie Smith of Holmesville, Ohio; a brother, Roy Smith of Wooster; a sister, Brenda Smith of Wooster; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Raylene and Shawn Zerby of Mansfield; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ray and Julie St. Clair of Shelby; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Latha Wilson and Bert and Leona Smith.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 15, 2013 at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Terry Zerby and Pastor Bruce Philippi. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
