MANSFIELD: Floria Loper, age 88, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at her home. Born June 5, 1924 in Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Alfred Loper and Sarah (Bear) French. Floria was a co-owner of Eastside Appliance with David Miller for a number of years. She was a loving caregiver to her son, Kenneth for over 20 years, following his involvement in an auto accident. Floria's house was the family meeting place for breakfast. Her strong will and mind, as well as her caring nature, will provide many wonderful memories for years to come.
She is survived by three sons, Dan (Becky) Clark of Galion, Wayne Clark of Mansfield, Howard (Tressa) Miller of TN; four daughters, Janice Frame and Wilma Perkins, both of Mansfield, Shirley Stacy of Galion, Pauline (Chuck) Hummel of Graytown, OH; twenty-two grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Annie Reidling of Fremont and Dottie Gray of FL; three brothers, Roland Loper and Willie French, both of KY, Herbert Loper of FL; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Edward Miller and Kenneth Roberson; two sisters, Viola and Almyra Abrams; and a brother, Coleman Loper.
Friends and family may visit from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond St., Mansfield. Additional visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Bruce A. Philippi officiating.
