Frederick Frank Bauer, II

MANSFIELD: Frederick Frank Bauer II, 79, of Mansfield passed away July 15, 2013 at his home.

Frederick was born September 17, 1933 in Mansfield to Frederick Frank and Rosalie Kresch Bauer. He was a decorated Korean War veteran who served as a paratrooper in the United States Army. He was a special brother, husband, daddy, papa and friend. Frederick was a member of the Sons of Herman and the VFW. He loved playing cards and golfing, watching "Singing in the Rain", and was a huge Browns and Indians fan.

Survivors include his daughters Twyla (Timothy) Koehler, Carrie Buzzard; grandchildren April (Thomas) Watkins, Ben (Rebecca) Koehler, J. R. Johnson, Matt (Summer) Koehler, Brandon Koehler, Max Johnson, Alyssa Koehler, Nathan Jamieson, Tyler Buzzard; great-grandchildren Alexis "Baby", Mariah, Mason, Madon, James Bauer "JB"; sisters Rosemary Burns, Shirley Harris; special friends of the family Mike Joseph, Matt, Keeley, Tracey, Brooke, Tauri; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Lois Ann Bauer; and a son Frederick F. Bauer III.

Friends may call at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, on Thursday from 6:30 - 8:30pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday at Herlihy-Chambers Funeral Home with Fr. Nelson Beaver officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery with military honors provided by Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or MedCentral Hospice.
