Jack A. Williams
MANSFIELD: Jack A. Williams, 82, of Mansfield, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Crestwood Care. Born October 20, 1930 in Mansfield, he was the son of Harry and Olive (Hilton) Williams. Jack worked at Consolidated Freight for 42 years and was a member of Ontario United Methodist Church. He was Past Master of Venus Lodge #152 F. & A.M., Past Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star, and member of the York Rite (Chapter, Council, and Commandery), Baku Grotto, and Kentucky Colonels. Jack also served as office manager at the Masonic Temple for nearly 15 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed golfing and watching old westerns and musicals.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peg" (Hoff) Williams; son, Mark (Nikki) Williams of Mansfield; daughter, Jennifer (Cliff) Cross of Mansfield; step son, Ron (Sherri) Smith; grandchildren, Heather (Mark) Myers, Holly (Colby) Cushing, Matthew (Shondie) Williams, and Jimmy (Dana) Williams; step grandchildren, Kristen Robertson, Dan (Beth) Robertson, Matthew and Morgan Smith; great grandchildren, Ashley and Hailey Holbrook, Skyler Bishop, Lexis McCombs, Bryce Schwartz, Mia, Maci, and Avery Williams; great great grandchild, Kinzey Blevins; step great grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Robertson; brother, T. Richard "Dick" (Viola) Williams; step son-in-law, Robb (Tammy) Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Jean (Poorman) Williams; daughter, Debbie Williams; brothers, Robert Williams, Clarence "Bud" Williams, and Dean Williams; sisters, Kathleen Alexander and Rebecca Duff; and step children, Cathy Robertson and Ken Smith.
Friends may call Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario. Masonic services conducted by the Venus Lodge #152 will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home conducted by Pastor Sondra Snode. Burial will be held at a later date at Mansfield Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario United Methodist Church.
