Rev. Jean Marcia Ward

GALION: Rev. Jean Marcia Ward, 70, of Galion, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at Magnolia Terrace in Galion after an extended illness.

Born October 31, 1942 in Lakewood, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Virginia Eleda (LaVallia) Ward. Jean lived most of her life in the family home in Lakewood, moving to the Galion area in 2009.

A woman of many accomplishments, she played the harp, showed horses and was a college graduate. The greatest accomplishment to her was being a devout Christian. Rev. Jean gave her life to the Lord as a young adult on her knees in front of the television while watching Rev. Rex Humbard.

Prophetess Rev. Jean traveled the world preaching and teaching others of her Heavenly Father. She was an anointed Bible teacher and lived by Colossians 3:17 "Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus."

She had no living relatives, so many years ago God gave her a "family", Anita (Duane) McCartney of Galion and Sheila (Al) Bechtel of Bellville along with their families.

Rev. Jean you are a true bride of Christ. You have run the race and finished strong. Jean and her family were grateful to the staff at Magnolia Terrace and Kevin of HomeCare Matters Hospice for their compassionate loving and kindness.

A private memorial service will be held with Rev. Sheila Bechtel officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.

Arrangements are in the care of Richardson-Davis Funeral Home in Galion. An online obituary and guest registry are available at www.richardsondavis.com
