Kenneth "Paul" Gordon
MANSFIELD: Kenneth "Paul" Gordon, 79, of Mansfield, has gone to be with the Lord Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013 at Hospice House, Hospice of North Central Ohio in Ashland. He was born February 8, 1934 in Morrow County, Ohio, to the late Harry Newton and Lena Gale (Zerkel) Gordon.
Paul was a veteran of the US Army
from 1956-1958. He retired as the owner and operator of Unisex/Nulook Hair Salons. Paul loved flying, was a past member of the Civil Air Patrol and as an accomplished pilot took his family everywhere and anywhere. His generosity was evident throughout his life and he enjoyed helping family and friends. Paul was a member of the V.F.W
. and enjoyed watching all Ohio sports teams. His most enjoyable times were spent in the company of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Gaynelda "Midge" Harrison Gordon whom he married on May 30, 1975; six children, Jeff P. (Laura) Gordon and Greg T. (Desiree) Gordon, Lisa L. (Bob) Gordon, all of Columbus, Paula R.(Mark) Potts of Ontario, Lori L. Ujvari of Lexington and Randy T. (Belinda) Urso of Wellsburg, WV; twelve grandchildren, Chris, Megan, Kate, Ramsey, Tyler, Griffen, Sheldon, Evan, Kristen, Kelsey, Lauren and Hailey; two sisters, Alice (Don) Walker and Phyllis (Fred) Zahn, both of Ontario; one brother, Dave (Rita) Gordon of Ontario; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Gordon; four sisters, Kate Samples, Gladys Rhodebeck, Helen West and infant, Nancy Gordon; and four brothers, Carl, Don, Bill and Ralph Gordon.
Friends and family may visit from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2013 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. The funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Richard Folger officiating. Burial will follow in Ontario Cemetery with military honors presented by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of North Central Ohio.
