Lois Lynette Myers

MANSFIELD: Lois Lynette Myers, 91, of Mansfield, fell asleep in the Lord Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. Born June 28, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio she was the daughter of Wilkin Marvin and Corinne Mildred (Fish) Towle. She was a graduate of James Ford Rhodes High School and attended Bob Jones Business College. She worked as Secretary for the Brethren Missionary Herald Company in Winona Lake, Indiana for three years while her husband finished his Master of Divinity degree from Grace Theological Seminary. She then worked as Secretary for Standard Oil Company, Bulk Plant in Mansfield, Ohio for 10 years while her husband established the Woodville Grace Brethren Church in Mansfield, Ohio. She had also worked as a Church Secretary for 41 years in various churches in Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana and Iowa and had been the church organist and pianist in several of them. She was a member of the Woodville Grace Brethren Church where she was very active.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carrell and Terry Nixon of Mt. Vernon, Ohio; a son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Beth Myers of Orange Park, Florida; daughter, Mary Ann Myers; six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. McCarrell "Lee" Myers on October 1, 1993; and a sister, Mildred Lizette Gibson.

Friends may call from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2012 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at the funeral home conducted by Pastors Ron Smals, James Custer and Gene Witzky. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 3, 2012 at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery in Cleveland. Memorial contributions may be made to Woodville Grace Brethren Church.
