Margaret E. Rinehart
MANSFIELD: Margaret E. Rinehart, 79, of Mansfield passed away Friday, December 28, 2012 in Olentangy Woods Nursing Home in Galion.
Margaret was born December 25, 1933 the daughter of Samuel and Ruth (Hershner) Morrison. Margaret graduated from Galion High School in 1951.
On October 29, 1955, she married Alvin Rinehart.
For over 15 years, Margaret worked for North Electric in Galion.
Margaret loved nature and enjoyed spring trips to Gaylord, Michigan to mushroom hunt. For many summers, she planted and tended to her vegetable garden. A loving mother, Margaret invested in her children's hobbies of caring for and showing animals and 4-H.
Margaret and Alvin traveled throughout North America, taking several trips to Montana and also to British Columbia.
She was a member of VFW
Aux. Post #5101, American Legion Aux. Post #535, Moose Aux. in Galion, AmVets Aux. 1979, and was former state president of Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
Margaret attended Blooming Grove United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Alvin Rinehart of Mansfield; sons Rex Frye (Andrea Sturtz) of Circleville, and James (Laura) Rinehart of Mansfield; daughter Saundra Rinehart of Galion; grandchildren Dustin and Sarah Rinehart, Casandra and Drew Shisler, and Heather Lybarger; great grandchildren Bryce and Brady Lybarger, and Jocelyn and Jace Shisler; brother George Dale Morrison of Galion; sisters Mary Lou Ball of New Winchester and Frances (Ronald) Lentz of Steam Corners; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her sister Susan Click, brothers Carl and John Morrison, and sister-in-law Ruth Morrison.
Calling hours will be today, Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 3-6 pm in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. Celebrant Jerry Wilson will officiate and burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
