Nancy Jewel (Crossland) Hylton

BELLVILLE: Nancy Jewel (Crossland) Hylton passed away January 31, 2013 at Country Meadows. Born January 3, 1958 in Mansfield, Ohio, she was one of seven children born to the late Robert Melvin Crossland and Oleta Lucille (Bays) Crossland.

Nancy will be remembered for her love of her family, grandsons, and extended family. Even as her health deteriorated she never complained.

Nancy married E. Eugene "Gene" Hylton in Fairfax, Va., March 1981 and he survives. She is also survived by their son Joshua and his wife Britany Hylton and their sons, Adam and Ian; she is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Andrew (Jeanne) Crossland, Ortanna, Pa., Shirley Crossland Doyle, La Mesa, Ca., John (Dottie) Crossland, Marion, Ohio, Ida (Roger) Aerhart, Lexington, Oh., James (Sandra) Crossland, Ontario, Oh., Peter (Karinne) Crossland, Ellicott City, Md.; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews along with cousins and a sister-in- law and brother-in-law in Virginia.

Nancy served her Country in the U.S. Navy as a pharmacy tech in Virginia and off the coast of Italy on the island of Sardinia. She completed her medical training as an LPN at the Mansfield Campus of the OSU and worked many years at Mansfield General Hospital and Med-Central until her health problems forced her to retire.

Having experienced many years of health problems, Nancy decided to donate her body to The Ohio State University Medical School.

Nancy was a member of New Life Church of Christ in Bellville. Oh.

Nancy's family will hold a Memorial Service on February 9, 2013 at 3:00 p.m. at New Life Church of Christ, 195 W. Durbin Ave., Bellville, Oh. with the Rev. Steve Kispler Officiating. Calling hours will be held one hour prior to the service. A meal and fellowship will follow at the church community room. Please come help us celebrate Nancy's life.
