Norma J. Turner

LEXINGTON: Norma J. Turner, age 83, died after a short illness at Lexington Court Care Center.

Norma was born July 7, 1930 to Marshall and Della Gotschall, both deceased, in Marion, Indiana. She attended Indiana University and lived in Columbus, Ohio before moving to Mansfield in 1965. She was the former owner of Bellville Flowers and Gifts, retiring in 1992. She was active in the Oak Hill Project of the Historical Society and the Library Literacy Program in Mansfield.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert Turner, a daughter Marsha Stehle of Bradenton, Florida: two sons and a daughter-in-law Steve and Robin Manas of Mansfield and Bruce Manas of Pasadena, Maryland; two step-children James E. Turner of Mansfield and Kathleen Kaminski and Kathleen's husband Joseph of Voorheesville, NY; brother-in-law Bob Shinn; five grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Dena Marie Manas in 1976 and two sisters Elnora Mathews and Sandra Shinn.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Norma J. Turner will be held at 10 am on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Mosaic Church, 296 Park Avenue West, Mansfield. The family selected the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home for cremation services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Mansfield Salvation Army may be made through the funeral home.
