Paul E. Sonnenberg

MANSFIELD: Paul E. Sonnenberg, 75, of Mansfield, died Friday, February 8, 2013 at MedCentral Mansfield. Born February 16, 1937 in Queens, New York, he was the son of Herman and Frances (Dyett) Sonnenberg. A veteran of the United States Army, Paul retired from Bob Myers Property Management. He was a member of Resurrection Parish. Paul was a caring and compassionate man who had a passion for his work and arts and crafts. He was a true friend to all who knew him and had a great sense of humor.

He is survived by three sons, Robert Sonnenberg of Columbus, Paul (Carol) Sonnenberg, Jr. of Land O Lakes, Florida and Timothy (Misty) Sonnenberg of Mansfield; a daughter, Diane Thrush of Lucas; five grandchildren, Shawn (Angela) Kise of Monroe, Ohio, Melissa Thrush of Mansfield, Courtney Sonnenberg of Mansfield, Kaimana Daugherty of Columbus and Brianna Sonnenberg of Columbus; two great grandchildren, Phoenix Kise and Benicio Kise of Monroe, Ohio; a former daughter-in-law and good family friend, Lori Hannan of Columbus; his former wife and good friend, Ann (Romyns) Sonnenberg of Mansfield; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives; and his loyal and constant companions ~ his dog, Sweety and his cat, Tiger. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services will be held. The Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors is privileged to serve the family of Paul E. Sonnenberg.
