MANSFIELD: Paul Stalter, 92, of Mansfield died March 5, 2014. Born November 13, 1921 in Mansfield, he was the son of George and Leona (Commiskey) Stalter. Paul was a World War II
Veteran who served with the 12th Armored Division. He also served in the 7th Army with General Patton in Germany and was wounded during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a life member of D.A.V. Paul retired from Westinghouse after 40 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret H. Kulka Stalter; and a brother.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario. Family and friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Military services conducted by the Richland County Joint Veteran's Burial Detail will be held at the funeral home.
