Shelly (Diersing) Shockey

MARION: Shelly (Diersing) Shockey, 41, of Marion died March 9, 2014. Born May 2, 1972 in Shelby, she was the daughter of Henry A. and Alice Sue (Cline) Diersing. Shelly was a loving, caring woman who never forgot anyone's birthday and always sent a card. More than anything, Shelly loved spending time with her son Dalton, her daughter Amber, her granddaughters, and her family and friends.

Surviving are her parents, Henry and Alice Sue Diersing of Mansfield; daughter, Amber Diersing (Jason Haferd) of Galion; son, Dalton Shockey of Mansfield; granddaughters, Taryn, Jayda, and Kinley Haferd; brother, Troy (Gloria) Diersing of Ligonier, IN; niece and nephew, Charissa and Caleb Diersing; maternal grandmother, Adith Cline of Mansfield; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Shelly was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Bill A. Cline; paternal grandparents, Henry and Laurestine Diersing; and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends are invited to call on Sunday, March 16, 2014 from 2-6 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario. Funeral services, conducted by Pastor Troy Diersing of Ligonier Evangelical Church, and Pastors Phil Green and Mark Barth, both of Real Life Community Church, will be held Monday, March 17, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Memorial Park. To assist Shelly's young son, memorial contributions may be made to The Dalton Shockey Benefit account at Richland Bank.
