Steven Allen Wray

SHELBY: Steven Allen Wray, 62, of Wilmot, passed away Friday March 8, 2013 at the home of his sister in Nova. He was born May 5, 1950 in Shelby, Ohio and lived most of his life in the Bellville area.

A 1968 graduate of Shelby High School, Steve worked for PPG (Pittsburgh Plate Glass) for 44 years retiring in 2012. He enjoyed his children and all sports, especially baseball and golf.

Survivors include his children, Brian (Amy) Wray of Coronado CA, Lance Wray of Mansfield, Carly Wray and Nolan Wray, both of Wilmington NC; two grandchildren, Connor and Alexis Wray; sisters, Sandra (Jim) Steffner of Nova, Regenia (Forest) Boone of Rockport WV, Cindy Burling of Laughlin NV; brothers, Danny (Shirley) Wray and Mike Wray both of Shelby, eight nieces and nine nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James V. Wray and Helen L. (nee Winck) Wray-Furbey, and brother, Howard Wray.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the Barkdull Funeral Home, 33 N. Gamble, Shelby OH 44875 with his brother-in-law, Forest Boone officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 775 Lexington Ave, Suite M, Mansfield OH 44907, attention Chasity.
