Timothy A. Dials

MANSFIELD: Timothy A. Dials, 61, of Mansfield, passed away at Ohio Health MedCentral on Wednesday, May 7, 2014, following a lengthy illness.

Timothy was born on January 2, 1953, in Mansfield, to Foster L. and Eileen P. Sheriff Dials. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Timothy enjoyed dirt track racing and was an avid fan of Jeff Gordon. He also enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns and burning music onto CD's for his kids. His biggest hobby was his family, and he loved to spend time with them.

Timothy is survived by his wife, Molly Adkins Dials, with whom he married on June 23, 1973. He is also survived by three children, Andrew Allen (Amber) Dials of Mansfield, Bridgette Ann (Brian) Olar of Galion, and Cozetta Michelle (Damian) Branch of Genoa, WV; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Foster Lee "Big John" Dials Jr of Plymouth and William "Buck" (Dawn) Dials of Ashland; one sister, Linda Eileen Dials of Mansfield; and his two canine children, Bailey and Shailey.

Timothy was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and brother-in-law, Carol Ann (Dannie "Boone") Thompson; one sister-in-law, Joy Dials; and his canine child, Shadow.

Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Faith Chapel Church, 674 Hannah Rd, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 12: 00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Bruce Copley officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2014 at Mansfield Memorial Park, with full military honors being performed by the R.C. Joint Veterans Burial Detail. Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, is handling the arrangements.
