Twilah W. Reeves

BELLVILLE: Rural Bellville resident, Twilah W. Reeves, passed away Sunday morning, January 20, 2013 at Morrow Manor Nursing Center in Chesterville. She was 86.

She was born June 15, 1926 in Magnetic Springs to Robert and Kathryn (McAllister) Werner. Twilah graduated from Johnsville High School then attended classes at David Lipscomb College before earning her bachelor's degree in education from Ashland College. Twilah also taught elementary education at Johnsville.

She married William H. Reeves on Christmas Day in 1946 and devoted her life to making a wonderful home for him and their eight children. A loving and dedicated wife, Twilah was a pillar of support for her family.

Although Twilah loved spending time in her home, she was able to travel the world with her husband, together sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ.

She was a member of Southside Church of Christ.

Twilah is survived by her husband William "Bill" Reeves; their children and spouses, Linda Sumerlin of Oklahoma City, OK, Gary and Sharon Baker of Johnsville, David and Marie Reeves of Chardon, Steve and Sue Reeves of Benton, IL, Dale and Phyllis Reeves of Lancaster, TX, Tim and Laura Reeves of Providence, RI, Mark and Carmen Reeves of Long Beach, CA, Chris and Cheri Reeves of Cedar Hill, TN; 29 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother Louis Werner and sister Wynema Werner.

The Reeves family will receive friends Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Lexington Avenue Snyder Funeral Home where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Shauck Cemetery.
