Virginia Faye Weiland
MANSFIELD: Virginia Faye Weiland, age 96, passed away Saturday evening, October 6, 2012 at Wedgewood Estates. Born September 19, 1916 in Mansfield, she was the daughter of the late Charles Alfred and Lavida Faye (Crall) Fox. Virginia retired from the Richland County Clerk of Courts after 20 years where she was an auto title clerk. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Bridge Club. Virginia enjoyed reading, puzzles, watching Lawrence Welk shows and watching the news featuring Brian Williams. She created elegant crochet and needlework items.
She is survived by two daughters, Beth Weiland of Mansfield and Rita (Terry) Powell of Gahanna; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Andrew and Stephanie Powell; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Vincent Weiland on January 1, 1990; and a sister, Elaine Pfahler.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2012 in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road at 10:30 a.m. Friends and family may visit beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, 12 N. Diamond St., Mansfield, OH 44902 or the Monsignor Dunn Foundation, 104 W. First St., Mansfield, OH 44902.
