Wanda L. Hartman

CRESTLINE: Wanda L. Hartman, 79, of Crestline, died Saturday, July 12, 2014 at Samaritan Hospital, Ashland after an extended illness.

Wanda was born in London, KY on February 25, 1935 to the late George and Liza (Elliot) Pennington. She married Robert R. Hartman on June, 21, 1953 in Crestline and he survives her. She has lived in the area since 1950, having come from Harlan County, KY.

She had worked at the former North Electric, Galion for seven years. She was also employed by Caleb V. Smith Uniforms, Galion for nine years. Wanda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Shelby and she sang in the church choir. She was proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter Sonya and Dwain Riley, Ashland; her five grandchildren Misty and Adam Houk, Jacob and Janeen Hartman, Lee Daiber, Kenneth and Emily Riley, and Michael Riley; her five great grandchildren Mark Houk, Samantha Houk, George Hartman, Levi Hartman and Jade Daiber, and her sister Freda & Glen Lindstedt, Crestline.

She was preceded in death by her son Mark Hartman.

Friends may call Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Crestline and Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the Calvary Baptist Church, 21 Washington Street, Shelby. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church, with Pastor Steven Schag officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford County Memory Gardens, Crestline.
