William E. Davis

MANSFIELD: William E. Davis, 72, of Mansfield, died Wednesday evening, November 14 in MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital after an extended illness. Mr. Davis was born June 29, 1940 in Zanesville, the son of the late Richard and Vera (McHenry) Davis. He was a US Army peacetime veteran and later moved to Mansfield where he worked over 30 years at the General Motors/ Mansfield-Ontario plant retiring in 1993. He was a member of United Auto Workers Union, Local 549. He loved owning and working with horses, a passion he passed on to his children.

He is survived by his children, Denise Johnson of Lodi, Bianca (Cody Nolen) Davis of Mansfield and Zachary Davis of Loudonville; his former wife, Rebecca Daugherty of Loudonville; 3 grandchildren; a sister, Virginia Davis of Zanesville, a step-brother, Don Hutchison of Zanesville, and his special little buddy, Ray Daugherty of Loudonville. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 brothers, David and Richard Davis.
