William J. Kelly
MANSFIELD: William Junior Kelly, 70, passed this life on Friday, December 6, 2013 in Mifflin Care Center after an extended illness.
Mr. Kelly was born on Monday, February 15, 1943 to William and Buena Vista Fuqua Kelly in Crestline and was a life long resident of Mansfield.
William was an Army
veteran of the Vietnam War
, and was employed with the Ohio Brass Company until the factory's closing. He was a member of the American Legion Post 676, and enjoyed bowling and traveling.
William is survived by his wife, Leola Allen Kelly; daughter, Ponya Kelly, Mansfield; two step children, Mary Dismuke, Columbus and John Temple, Mansfield; mother, Buena Vista Shakir (Kelly), Mansfield; grandson, Justin Kelly, Mansfield; five sisters, Nonia Jackson, Priscilla "Peaches" Jefferson and Leatha Gardner, Mansfield, Anna Edwards and Ardis Kelly, St. Louis, Missouri; brother, Patrick Kelly, Mansfield; uncle and aunt, Lofton and Lois Fuqua, Mansfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
William was preceded in death by his father William "Exio" Kelly; son, William Kelly, III; granddaughter, Camille Kelly; and two brothers, Abakar and Jerry J. Kelly.
Friends may call Saturday in the Ruth Anna Lee Williams Memorial Chapel of Williams Funeral Services one hour prior to the 10:00 a.m. funeral service. Minister Steven Taylor, an Associate Minister at the Providence Baptist Church will officiate. The funeral detail of the Joint Veteran's Council will conduct
military services. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the home of William's sister, Priscilla, 315 Crystal Springs St.
