Callel Valdry Obituary
MANSFIELD: Callel Jerrell Davison Valdry, 27, of Mansfield, tragically taken from us on Friday, May 27, 2016.
Callel was born on July 2, 1988, in Mansfield, to James C. Valdry Sr. and Melanie J. Davison. He was a devoted father, beloved son, cherished brother and endearing friend and companion. He attended Mansfield City Schools and Shawnee State University. He was the main model for the entertainment company, Gentlemen Making Good Financial Choices, volunteered for Living, Loving Learning Organization as a mentor for youth, enjoyed watching movies, and loved the color red.
Along with his parents, Callel is survived by two children, Callel Valdry II and Na`Ryiah Valdry; 17 siblings, Terrence Davison, Jam`arco Valdry, DonWaun Valdry, Terrence Betts, Sparkle Phillips, Lola Johnson, James Valdry Jr, Sherie Valdry, Terah Espy, Porsha Whitt, Dawson Braden, and two sets of triplets, Barbara, Brenda and Betsie Valdry, and Jay, Autum and Arianna Valdry; maternal grandmother, Betty France; maternal grandfather, Adrian Davison Sr; paternal grandmother, Christine Valdry; numerous nieces and nephews; and the mother of his children, Tonia Spence.
Callel was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Valdry.
Friends may be received at the home of Betty France, 203 Home Ave, Mansfield, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2016.
Calling hours will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 6, 2016, at Werner-Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jeff Jones officiating. Burial will be at Mansfield Cemetery.
