Alexander "Alex" James Enrico
MANSFIELD: Alexander "Alex" James Enrico, 26, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 7, 2014 at OhioHealth MedCentral Mansfield Hospital. He was born October 8, 1987 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He graduated from Ontario High School. Alex always had a smile on his face, had his own unique sense of humor, and was very happy and content with his life. Listening to music, being outdoors with the sun shining on his face, and visiting with people were some of Alex's favorite activities.
He was a member of the Challenger Little League Baseball Team from 2002 - 2007 and also enjoyed attending other sporting events, concerts and fairs in the area. Alex liked the time he spent attending his workshop group during the week at Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. where he made many friends while involved with the various activities and jobs he participated in with his friends there each day. He was currently a resident of Raintree.
Alex is survived by his mother, Rebecca Enrico of Ontario; brother, Eric Enrico of Ontario; sister, Allyson Enrico of Akron; paternal aunts and uncles, Lorita Bowgren of WI, Susan (George) Meier and Jamie (David) Brandenburg, both of IN; maternal aunts and uncles, Kathryn (Ed) Carmello of MD and Rozanna (Larry) Turnpaugh of IN; and several cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father, James A. Enrico, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Julia and James Enrico, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Mary and David Humphress; and uncle, Norm Bowgren.
Friends and family may visit Friday, June 13, 2014 from 1-2 p.m. in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Pastor Tony Viscioni will conduct the service at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Ontario Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario Booster Club in Alex's name to be used for a special project in the future or Raintree for special projects use.
