MANSFIELD: Barbara Ann Crawford, 72, of 235 East Arch St., passed this life Thursday evening, January 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family after a brief illness.
Mrs. Crawford was born on Wednesday, April 16, 1941 to the late Charles and Hazel Owens Cowan in Corinth, Mississippi and had lived in Mansfield for more than 55 years. Barbara Ann was a member of the Oasis Of Love Church and retired from Geauga Plastics in 2003 after 36 years of service. Her greatest joy was working in her flower garden.
Barbara Ann is survived by three daughters, LaTanya Crawford and Tammy Wilson, Mansfield and Marie "Tonette" Brown, Lil Burn, Georgia; two sons, Kenneth A. Crawford, Mansfield and Lonnie D. Crawford of Defiance; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; one sister, Norma Saunders, Oberlin; four brothers, Albert "Butch" King, Mansfield, Eugene King, Elyria, Ronald King, Atlanta, and Walter Clark, Petersburg, Florida.
In addition to her parents; her husband, Lonnie; son, Melvin Woodberry; sister, Betty Johnson; brother, Charles "Charlie Wolf" Cowan; and a special friend, Herbert Woodberry also preceded Barbara Ann in death.
Friends may call Wednesday in the Oasis Of Love Church one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Dr. Walter E. Jordan, II will officiate the funeral service. Interment will be in Mansfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends at their home from 4-9 p.m. daily until the day of the funeral.
