LOUDONVILLE: Dorothea Ann Weaver DeWitt, 94,of Loudonville entered eternal life April 3, 2013 at her home. Dorothea was born in Loudonville May 28, 1918 the daughter of Cleveland H. and Nora (Teeters) Bowman.
She was a lifelong resident of Loudonville, and a graduate of Loudonville High School class of 1936. Dorothea was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church of Loudonville, and member and past officer of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 92 of Ashland, Mother's Club of Loudonville, and for 5 years a Brownie Scout Leader. Dorothea was a secretary in the Purchasing Dept. for the Flxible Company, and for 25 years a Teller for the Farmers and Savings Bank of Loudonville, retiring in 1986.
Dorothea is survived by three daughters; Carolann Purdy of Glenmont, Redajean (Robert) Stinemetz of Perrysville, Maxine (Jeff) Wierbiki of Ashland; three grandsons Stephen Wierbiki of Ashland, Rodney (Teresa) Badertscher of Loudonville, Ryan (April) Stinemetz of Reedsburg; two granddaughters Chris Bosely of Glenmont, Regina (Tommy) Theisen of Loudonville; six great-grandchildren; and a sister Maxine Leaman of Ashland.
Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents, first husband of 36 years, Lester R. Weaver February 1975, second husband of 10 years Frank O. DeWitt July 1986; brother John W. Bowman in 1982; son-in-law Richard Purdy in 1991; special nephew Bill Leaman in 1959; and special friend and companion Dr. Lawrence C. Church in 2009.
Funeral services will be 2PM Friday April 5, 2013 at Lindsey Funeral Home in Loudonville with Reverend Howard Burnett officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Loudonville Cemetery.
