MANSFIELD: Edward C. "Butch" King, Jr., 60, of Mansfield, passed away Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus, following a brief illness.
Butch was born on December 20, 1953 in Willard to Edward and Marcella Oney King, Sr. He had a big heart and helped many people. Butch especially enjoyed visiting with friends and family on the phone. His hobbies included watching Westerns and Storage Wars, collecting guns and knives, old cars and playing the lottery.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn "Faye" King; two daughters, Christy (Broc) VanWagner of Butler and Nickie (JB) Neff of Shelby; eleven grandchildren; eight siblings, Bobby (Bonnie) King and Paul (Melissa) King both of Greenwich, Dannie (Debbie) King and Mandy (Eddie) Hale both of Mansfield, Sandy (Randy) King, Mark (Ellen) King, Ronnie (Diana) King, and Sheila (Jonah) Rand all of Shiloh; and mother-in-law, Christine Matheny.
Butch was preceded in death by his parents; and his father-in-law, Ralph Matheny.
As per Butch's request, no services will be held.
