Eldora E. Banbury

MANSFIELD: Eldora E. Banbury, age 102, passed away Wednesday afternoon, February 13, 2013 at Crystal Care Center. She was born July 29, 1910 in Newark, Ohio to the late Edward and Anna (Reed) Glenn. Eldora attended Cook Road Baptist Church and several other area churches throughout her lifetime. An accomplished seamstress, she made a great deal of her clothing. Eldora retired from JCPenney in 1978. She loved to play Euchre and travel, making many trips to Florida.

She is survived by two grandchildren, Randy (Diana) Riggleman and Christa (Wayne) Pirc; five great-grandchildren, Greg Riggleman, Sarah Riggleman, Ryan Riggleman, Nathan Pirc and Alyson Pirc; three great-great grandchildren, Jace Pirc, Penelope Riggleman and Baby Pirc; a son-in-law, Kelvin Riggleman; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. "Pat" Banbury; daughter, Patsy Riggleman; four sisters, Frances Lusher, Ada Kearns, Ethel Price, and Elizabeth Miller.

A funeral service conducted by Chaplain Mel Hobson will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Friends and family may visit beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial in Forest Cemetery, Fredericktown, will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Crystal Care Center of Mansfield.
