KINSMAN: Gene A. Keller of Kinsman, Ohio, formerly Mansfield, passed from this life to his new eternal life at 3:30 AM Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at home while surrounded by the love of his family following an extended illness. He was 68.

Gene was born in Zanesville, Ohio, on August 30, 1945, a son to Corlis W. & Dytha Y. (Pinder) Keller.

A 1963 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School, he furthered his education by receiving his associates degree in accounting at the Mansfield Business College. Self was forgotten when he left his home to defend our freedom in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. After his discharge, he found employment as a Sales Representative for the Mansfield Oxygen & Supply Company retiring in 2007 after a long career in the industry.

He was a member of the First English Lutheran Church and a vocal member of the Klinesingers, both in Mansfield.

In his spare time, he enjoyed playing basketball, both in church and civic leagues. In addition, he watched basketball on TV, setting aside valuable time for his passion. He also was an avid Browns fan, and a car and motorcycle enthusiast. However, his special talent was playing the piano. He had an extremely gifted ear, learning tunes as well as creating his own based on his mood at the time. Lastly was his affection for animals, especially his buddy "Major".

Survivors include: his love, Nedra L. (Surman) Keller; his children, Aaron David Keller, Mansfield, Stacy D. Leech and her husband Dr. Michael, Mansfield, Bethany L. Jaworski and her husband Adam, Porter, IN, Tessa R. Bianchi and her husband Bobby, Lexington, OH; his sister, Susan J. Jeffries, Mansfield; his step-daughters, Robin D. VanDerLoo and her husband Wayne, Mesa, AZ, Lisa D. Ehrenfried and her husband Mark, Waterville, OH, Heather D. Lane and her husband Ron, Perrysville, OH, Marlowe D. Danals and her husband Brett, Greenville, Mich, and Yvonne D. Hunkus and her husband Frankie, Hartford, OH; his grandchildren, Seth Leech, Olivia and Alexa Jaworsky, and Ethan and Dylan Bianchi; his step-grandchildren, Catherine & Heather VanDerLoo, Jala and Ty Ehrenfried, Olivia, Haley, and Hannah Lane, Justine Wareham, and Connor Danals; his nieces and nephews; and his special cousin, James Pinder.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance to his wishes, no calling hours or services will be held.

As suggested by his family, material contributions can be made to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 545 Brunstetter Rd. SW, Warren, OH 44481.
