MANSFIELD: Harold Clinton Braden of Wedgewood Estates, Mansfield, Ohio died December 8, 2012 at MedCentral Mansfield Hospital of complications from a fall. Harold was born in Weller Township on August 1, 1923 to Willard and Alverta May Braden. He was married to Euretabelle (Smith) Braden. Harold was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of Richland Electric Company for 15 years and was a member of First United Methodist Church; Baku Grotto-Mansfield, Ohio; Master Mason-Ashland Lodge #151, F & AM; 32nd degree Mason of Scottish Rite Bodies in the Valley of Canton. After retirement, he and good friend, Jim Day developed Christmas Wunderland at the Richland County Fairgrounds.
Harold was preceded in death by his loving wife, Euretabelle and their son, Rod Braden.
He is survived by two daughters, Judy Jewell of Mt. Vernon and Robin (Bob) Burkhardt of Ontario; eight grandchildren, Troy (Lisa) Burkhardt, Lentcen (Alex) Roig, Bryce Burkhardt, Karling (Kyle) Ward, Cassandra (John) Frazier, Jennifer Leggett, Jason Braden, Nicholas (Michelle) Braden and Justin Braden-deceased; eleven great-grandchildren, Nicole Frazier, Veronica, A.J. and Katie Leggett, Bristy and Blake Burkhardt, Braden Ward, Garrett Braden, Zane, Ruby and Alex Braden; and a special cousin, Zettie Robinson.
Friends and family may visit from 5-8 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. with Masonic services will be held during the visitation. The memorial service conducted by Rev. W. Kent Joy will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home with military honors presented by the Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad immediately following. Burial will be in Mansfield Memorial Park at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Christmas Wunderland at the Richland County Fairgrounds.
