Helen Elnora Breinich

SHELBY: Helen Elnora Breinich, age 91, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Shelby Pointe after a long battle with Alzheimer's dementia. Born November 10, 1920 in Mansfield, she is the daughter of the late Arthur I. and Nellie May (Umbarger) Stotts. Helen graduated from Springfield Township School. She retired after 32 years at the May Company/O'Neil's where she was a Section Manager over Women's Apparel the last 14 years. Helen was a lifelong member of Ontario United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Mansfield Liederkranz, Baku Grotto, Shelby Country Club and A.A.R.P. A strong and spirited lady, Helen enjoyed knitting, tending to her flowers and vegetable garden, and playing golf.

She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Mehl; two sons, Richard Breinich, Terry (Venus) Breinich; six grandchildren, Randy (Renee) Mehl, Deborah Mehl, Jason Breinich, Jennifer (Clint) Aubley, Lee Breinich, Tera (Dustin) Ewing; four great-grandchildren, Matthew and Lori Mehl, Everett and Adalyn Ewing; two great-great grandchildren, Jocelyn Collins and Alayna Mehl; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anton "Tony" Breinich, Jr.; son, Larry Breinich; son-in-law, Robert Mehl; two brothers, Harry Stotts and Clarence (Doris) Stotts; sister, Mary (Harold) Stotts; and nieces, Barb McCarron and Linda Brown.

Friends and family may visit from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. Additional visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sondra Snode officiating. Burial will follow in Mansfield Memorial Park.
