Katherine Nethero Mastandrea

MANSFIELD: Katherine Nethero Mastandrea, age 82, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. Born July 9, 1930 in Killbuck, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Clyde A. and Harriett (Frazier) Nethero. She was a 1948 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. She and her husband, Raymond, met in middle school and recently celebrated 63 years of marriage. Together they owned and operated All Service Electric, Ontario Dog 'N Suds and Anthony's Animal Crackers. Katherine also put her sales skills to work as an independent real estate agent. She was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. Always busy and on the go, she enjoyed sailing with her husband and they won many sailing trophies throughout the years. She was a member of the Mohican Sailing Club and Mansfield Women's Club.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond P. Mastandrea; children, Ramona K.M. (Steve) Lawrence and Judy M. (Jeff) Au; grandchildren, Jennifer M. Au, Jay D. Au, Jesson R. Au, Julie K. Au, Anthony S.M. Lawrence and Leah M.M. Lawrence; twin sister, Kathleen Nethero (Frank) Mastandrea; brother, Harry (Pat) Nethero; and nieces and nephews, Dominic (Sherry) Sammataro, Deborah Gossom, Jeff Mastandrea, Craig Mastandrea, Tim Mastandrea, Jane Gorka, Barry Conrad, Crit Nethero, David Scott Nethero and Steve Nethero. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William C. Nethero.

Friends and family may visit from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Katherine's memory to MedCentral Hospice or St. Peter's Catholic Church.
